This is a very easy recipe of just warm ingredients, mix together, roll into small balls, top with a chocolate drop or similar, and you’re done.

Yes, you can buy things in the shops, but nothing beats doing things like this as a family—with very well washed hands!

Condensed milk fudge

Ingredients

  • 50 g butter
  • 1 can (400 g) sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 1 cup skim milk powder
  • ½ cup chopped cherries or chopped walnuts
  • Chocolate drops or similar, for topping

Method

  1. Put the butter in a saucepan first and warm until really soft.
  2. Add the sweetened condensed milk and warm together.
  3. Remove from the heat, then mix in the vanilla essence and skim milk powder.
  4. Add the chopped cherries or walnuts.
  5. Pour into a buttered or baking paper-lined pan and place in the fridge to set before cutting into small squares. Or, roll into small balls.
  6. Top with a chocolate drop or similar.

Variations

  • Chocolate fudge: Add 3 tablespoons cocoa with the milk powder and ½ cup chocolate chips.
  • Peanut butter fudge: Replace the butter with ½ cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter.
