Condensed milk fudge
Ingredients
- 50 g butter
- 1 can (400 g) sweetened condensed milk
- 2 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 cup skim milk powder
- ½ cup chopped cherries or chopped walnuts
- Chocolate drops or similar, for topping
Method
- Put the butter in a saucepan first and warm until really soft.
- Add the sweetened condensed milk and warm together.
- Remove from the heat, then mix in the vanilla essence and skim milk powder.
- Add the chopped cherries or walnuts.
- Pour into a buttered or baking paper-lined pan and place in the fridge to set before cutting into small squares. Or, roll into small balls.
- Top with a chocolate drop or similar.
Variations
- Chocolate fudge: Add 3 tablespoons cocoa with the milk powder and ½ cup chocolate chips.
- Peanut butter fudge: Replace the butter with ½ cup smooth or crunchy peanut butter.
