me and my best friend conversate by sending hours and hours of video messages to each other, so naturally my phone has been dying this whole year due to the loss of storage space. I’ve been too lazy to clear through it all, but today I finally got around to it.
I think we’ve all experienced clearing through old photos, the sweet and sentimental ones, you see all the memories from long ago. However, screenshots? Screenshots tell a whooole different story. In the screenshot gallery you can be looking at a muffin recipe on one photo, and then swipe left to a whole blown text chain argument over text. Now I was looking at many many screenshots I took (for who knows what reason) of me and my one month situationship from last year. That was a really obsessive time of my life, tell me who and what possessed me to say the things I did because truly WOW. I was just so naive bruh. I look back with these old ass eyes and realize what on earth had I deluded myself into? And that’s a situationship (well now I realise it was just a friendship lmao) that took me 3 months to get over.
In these times of heartbreak, or yearning as my fellow filipinos would say, doesn’t everyone feel so justified? As if that person has wrong-done them? In reality, no, it’s just 2 people who want different things and therefore aren’t (or are no longer) good for eachother. I realised it’s not evil for someone to break up with you, or to let you go, because everyone should try to live the best they can.
